HURRAY! I SEE ME MENTORING CURRICULUM IS DISTRIBUTED.

On 25th March, 2023, EWEF presented  the I See Me Mentoring Curriculum to school-based Girl- Child Coordinators (GCCs). The event marked a significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen mentoring programs for in-schools girls in Ghana

The distribution follows a consultative session that took place between EWEF, Girls Identity Summit Inc., USA, and school-based Girl-Child Coordinators, from some 10 selected schools within Asante Akim Central Municipal. The meeting aimed to introduce a curriculum for facilitating mentorship sessions with school based clubs and also sought to introduce Girl Child Coordinators to a curriculum that will guide their sessions with the girls. Their inputs were gathered to aid in producing a contextual and relatable document for the girls. This meeting was held during the 2023 edition of Girls Identity Summit (see post on Girls Identity Summit, 2023 on this website)

The curriculum is accepted and used by some educational and religious institutions in the USA and our 10 selected schools are the first to pilot it here in Ghana and in the Asante Akim Central Municipal. The I See Me Mentoring Curriculum is finally available for GCC’s to use in coaching our girls and we just cannot hide our excitement!

We believe that by equipping the GCCs with structured guidance and resources, we will foster positive mentor-mentee relationships and support the holistic development of our girls

Going Forward

Together with Girls Identity Summit Inc., USA, we remain committed to addressing challenges, soliciting feedback, and continuously improving the mentoring curriculum to better serve the needs of mentors and mentees alike.

The Girls Identity Summit is a collaborative mentorship program by Girls Identity Summit Inc., USA and Erudite Women’s Empowerment Foundation- EWEF, Ghana.
